Martha’s business was thriving. But in 2012, with the passage of Obamacare, she recognized how much government policies could impact the American dream she worked so hard to build. This realization ignited a passion in her to speak out. Not just for herself, but for families and small business owners like herself.
By 2015, she attended her first meeting with Americans for Prosperity. Invited to share her story with more than 100 people, she discovered the power of her voice. That day marked the beginning of a new journey, transitioning from being just a businesswoman, to becoming a communicator and advocate for prosperity and freedom.
In 2018 her role in the community deepened. She was invited to sit at the table with Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, where she shared the concerns of Arizona’s small business owners. That same year, she began appearing on radio programs and podcasts to advocate for conservative values and the freedoms that shaped her life.
In 2019, she addressed her Spanish speaking community for the first time alongside Ana Paola and Nosotras las Mujeres. Later that year, she collaborated with Naye Olvera and de Mujer a Mujer, to further amplify women’s voices and discuss how communities can rise together.
She was also invited to participate in a roundtable with former Vice President, Mike Pence, U.S. Treasurer Jose Visa Carranza and Governor Ducey, where she advocated for Arizona’s entrepreneurs.
In early 2020, Martha received her first invitation to the White House, with Americans for Prosperity. Shortly after the pandemic struck, while many pulled back, she leaned in, mobilizing her team to disinfect and sanitize essential spaces to keep them safe.
By May, she was interviewed by El Diario, the oldest Spanish language newspaper in New York, for her frontline efforts.
In 2020 she participated in an unprecedented live event with the president called “Latinos for Trump,” where she shared her life story and vision, directly with him.
These rare opportunities showcased Martha at her best, connecting her journey to the experiences of others and using her voice to uplift them.
In 2023, Senator Rick Scott, the former governor of Florida and President of the National Republican Senate Committee (NRSC,) presented Martha with the “Champion for Freedom Award.” This honor celebrated her leadership in organizing cultural events, fundraisers and programs that strengthen families. For Martha, the award represented not only personal recognition, but also the values she shares with her community.
Martha’s journey has taken her beyond Arizona. In Peru, she spoke at a women’s conference encouraging women to believe in their strength and take charge of their futures. In Mexico, she inspired over 100 college students, reminding them that no dream is too distant if it’s rooted in hope.
Martha believes that “Hope is Fuel.” It carried her from the shadows of fear into the light of leadership. It keeps her walking alongside women who have suffered, standing with families who struggle, and encouraging her community to believe again in what America can be. It’s hope that keeps freedom alive, love that strengthens families, and the American dream that reminds us all there’s always another chapter to write.
