Our Political Collection On the News

It all started with a phone call.

About six months before the 2024 election, a reporter from Univision contacted me to interview about my support for Donald Trump. She wanted to understand why a Latina like me would support him.

We met at my home, and during our conversation, she noticed our extensive collection of political memorabilia. She asked if she could return for another story, this time for DRM News, a Dot Republic Media publication, a leader in global content distribution based in Dubai.

Approximately three months after the election, she returned to our home and spent nearly three hours exploring each room, getting the story behind the collectibles. We shared a timeline of American political history.

Our collection includes historical artifacts associated with all 47 presidents from George Washington and Abraham Lincoln to Theodore Roosevelt and Donald Trump, all displayed proudly.

After her visit, the story was featured online on the DRM YouTube channel and included in a press release distributed to major news outlets.

The whole experience reminded me why we began collecting in the first place: not to idolize but to preserve. These items capture moments in time.
