de Mujer a Mujer 10th Anniversary Gala

10 years ago, my dear friend, Naye Olvera, founded the organization “de Mujer a Mujer” to help underserved people in the hispanic community. She has worked very hard organizing events, delivering food to the homeless, helping families, and hosting fundraisers to support the community.

On this special 10th Anniversary night, she chose to recognize and honor many of the people who were there from the beginning, that helped her build this wonderful organization.

The entertainment featured mariachis singing traditional songs, dancers, a live rock band, and various MCs guiding the audience through the night as the awards and certificates were presented.
Our dear friend, Victor Navarro, hosted the red carpet ceremonies as guests arrived. He interviewed various business owners and entrepreneurs who’ve been involved from the beginning, and we’re happy to share their stories about their experiences with Naye over the years.
I was recognized for participating in many events and podcasts, and for donating food to the homeless. I’m very thankful to be part of this organization.
The highlight of the evening was recognizing the legacy of our dearest friend, the late Juan Garcia, and his support for the organization. de Mujer a Mujer spend many years working and podcasting in his office, where he provided the space. His family was presented with a special memorial plaque to honor his memory. We know he would have been there celebrating with us, and he WAS!

Our friend, Raudy Cambet from Sea Studios Films, was there as always, documenting the evening on video. He surprised everyone with an AI production featuring Juan, who thanked everyone for being there and wished he could’ve celebrated the evening with us back here on earth. We know that he now takes his place in heaven above.
